Tebrikler Şampiyon
14-30 Ocak tarihlerinde oynanan ve bu yılın ilk elit satranç turnuvasında kazanan Dünya Şampiyonu Magnus Carlsen oldu. Son oyunda siyah taşlara oynayan Carlsen rakibi Caruana’yı yenerek, Tata Steel turnuvasını 8’inci defa kazanarak çok büyük bir başarıya imza attı.
Erigaisi Arjun ise “Challengers” kategorisinin kazananı oldu ve gelecek yıl yapılacak turnuvada ustalar kategorisinde yarışmayı hak etti.
Tournament director Jeroen van den Berg: “Magnus Carlsen has played a strong tournament. His 8th victory is a unique achievement in the history of the Tata Steel Chess Tournament. We still have one more round to go, but I can already safely say that the tournament has been a success from a chess aficionado’s perspective. Erigaisi Arjun has proved to be a revelation. He will definitely bring a positive contribution to the Tata Steel Masters next year. I’m also very proud of everybody in the tournament organisation. With a lot of effort we have faced the challenges regarding COVID-19 as well as possible.”
